Expected to debut late next year as one of the most anticipated new addition to the ever expanding Audi family, the production version of the 2011 Audi A7 has been caught undisguised in one of Audi’s European test facility.
The frontal and rear shots of the four-door coupe show stark resemblance to that of the 2009 Audi Sportback Concept introduced earlier this year at the Detroit auto show, with the concept’s sleek front air inlet substituted with more conventional production ready inlets used in Audi’s existing lineup.
Audi’s mum on the precise launch date but have so far released the details of the lineup’s engine, gearbox and suspension systems. The entry level A7 will be fitted with a 2.8 liter V6 (204hp), while buyers looking for a more powerful A7 can opt for the supercharged 3.0 liter v6 (300hp) version.
The “S” version of the four-door coupe will also be available after the official debut of the 2011 Audi A7. The base model of the S7 trim will see a 4.0 liter V8 (394hp) installed as standard while the range-topping RS7 will be equipped with a 373kW (500hp) 5.0 liter twin turbo V10.
No official price range suggested by Audi yet but one thing is for sure, it will be out of reach for most of us when it finally reaches our Malaysian shores.
