Mercedes GP Petronas has unveiled its official colour scheme for the 2010 season at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Drivers Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher introduced the new livery alongside team management Ross Brawn, Norbert Haug and Nick Fry at the press conference, which included over 600 guests, of whom 200 were media representatives and another 200 were Mercedes-Benz employees.
The new Silver Arrows livery was shown off on the car used for the 2009 championship-winning season, as the new car for 2010, called MGP W01, will only make its public debut at the Valencia circuit on February 1. The legacy of the Silver Arrows can be traced way back to the 1934 Eifel Race when the very first Silver Arrows appeared. The MGP W01 will come in white, with touches of silver, black, grey and shades of green derived from the Petronas logo at the front, side and rims.
