Sime Darby has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Porsche Asia Pacific, which would see it becoming the sole and exclusive distributor of Porsche cars in Malaysia. Taking over the Porsche franchise from Jaseri Automotive Group, Sime Darby will continue to operate the Porsche Centre Glenmarie, with additional Porsche Centres to be added later on.
Needless to say, Sime Darby is a seasoned player in the automotive industry, being the official in-charge of the Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Ford and Land Rover brands in Malaysia. Sime Darby also has extensive automotive interest elsewhere in the Asia-Pacific region, including a Porsche Centre in New Zealand.
