This is a rendered picture of the latest two-seater roadster from Honda, supposedly a modern rendition of the rear mid-engined, rear-wheel driven Honda Beat produced from 1991 to 1996. Due to the severe language barrier, we are not sure if the Japanese Best Car magazine has speculated the entire story or based it on information from insider sources.
Part of the Kei car wave that swept Japan in the 1990s, the Beat had rivals such as Suzuki Cappuccino and Mazda Autozam AZ-1. The closest cars in size and function still on the roads include Daihatsu Copen and Smart Roadster. By modern go-green standards, a stylish while efficient roadster would fit into Honda’s model range nicely. More details should follow if this story has any truth to it.
